Hoop it up.
I shot high school hoops for the Detroit News tonight. Didn't get much at all. I am real rusty at shooting basketball. I miss shooting it 2-3 times a week.

Close Call!

Good thing hockey players wear so many pads.
Wintery Drive

The basketball game I was sent to last night for the Detroit news was at a different school and I didn't shoot anything the rest of the day. So on the way home I made a few pictures driving in and out of snow squals. I am always amazed at the people who live in Michigan and can't drive in the snow.

The Crazy Man

Anyone who knows my son Max also knows why we affectionately call him the crazy man. He is wild and full of energy. Can be a challenge but makes him a whole lot of fun! Here he hams it up for the camera while posing for the photo infront of a Monster Truck.

Welcome Home Chris.

Chris Webber will be playing for the Pistons starting Friday night. Sounds like he is real happy to be home in Detroit and is looking for something missing in his career. I can relate, not to being a great basketball player, but to the feeling something is missing in your career. I shot this image when he was in high school with Country Day. 1989 I think, maybe 90. I was young, just starting out with big dreams just like him. My photography didn’t go they way I had thought it might. Now at almost 40 I’m trying to fill that missing part just like Chris. I hope he finds what he is looking for. -Bryan

We had a semi-ice storm in Michigan overnight and I had a few portraits planned to shoot. I like this one. -Bryan

MRS C.

I met Danialle Karmanos today on an assignment for the Detroit News.
Say Cheese.

Ok now that the Auto Show is over I was able to start editing the weddding I shot last Saturday. I chuckled at this photo. Now instead of funny photos with cameras pushed against peoples faces they get the LCD screen stare.

Another auto show in the books, for me anyway.

The craziness is over on my 16th Detroit Auto show press days. In the middle of this photographer and reporter mob is Alan Mulally, President and Chief Executive Officer for Ford Motor Company. I don't have a gallery up yet but you can see some of my images at the Getty Images website. GO HERE. You can also license images from the site. –Bryan

Seeing Red.

Kia shows of the Kue concept car to the world automotive media during the press preview days at the North American International Auto show January 8. This was one of the better photos I made on Monday. I am still having a problem with focus and my short lenses so I have had to shoot most everything with long lenses. My two wide lenses will go to Nikon for repair after the show is over. Ugh! I think, no I know I am ready to switch to Canon! -Bryan

The Auto show is always crazy!
Covering the auto show are always long, crazy days! I don't know if I'm coing or going and always seem to be behind and live on cookies and coke! I thought this photo of a Jag Concept car was kind of cool. It 10:00 PM and I have to be back down there at 7:00 AM.

MMMMMM, Cake!

Ok I shot a wedding on Saturday, was up real late and I have been working the Detroit Auto Show ALL day. So I am just getting to posting Saturdays photo. -Bryan

More Editing.

More editing and no shooting on Friday. I really liked this image in Black and White.
Ok I'm already behind!

I was editinf wedding photos most of Thursday and didn't shoot at all. Dancing photos are sometimes funny like this one. I have a wedding today and the Auto Show next week so I plan to post a few from those events. Might not be on time as they are real long days. -Bryan

Silly Shades!

I had to make an image of my daughter with these silly sunglasses. I think they cam ein a McDonalds Happy Meal. -Bryan
Day 2.

I never left the house on Tuesday. I spent all morning editing wedding photos and then taking down all the Christmas decorations in the afternoon. So I shot a self portrait if myself riding the bike trainer last night. I need to get back to mountain bike racing shape and loose 30 pounds, we'll see.

Welcome! First photo New Years Day night.
Ok so the idea will be this year instead of a weekly moments photo I will plan to post a photo every day of 2007. 365, all year. Sometimes funny, sometimes silly, sometimes interesting, sometimes an event I covered that day or sometimes just something that caught my eye.
Enjoy!-Bryan
